Garden wedding at Lake Ammer
A wedding in September at Gut Hartschimmel near Lake Ammersee — that's exactly the kind of days I love as a wedding photographer. When Franzi and Tommi asked me if I would be attending their big day, I knew immediately that this wedding was going to be something very special. The Hartschimmel estate, surrounded by nature and with all the animals, is an absolute dream location that is not only romantic but also incredibly charming.
For me, the day began with one of the most emotional moments: the First Look. Franzi and Tommi decided to see each other for the first time before the free wedding, and these moments of anticipation and love were simply magical. We chose a quiet corner on the estate, surrounded by trees and with the warm September sun in the background. When Tommi turned around and saw Franzi in her dress for the first time, the joy on their faces was simply priceless. Photographing such moments is one of the reasons why I love my job so much. We then took time to take pictures of couples, and the backdrop of Gut Hartschimmel offered endless possibilities: from the extensive meadows to the charming details of the farm.
The free wedding was another highlight of the day. On a meadow right by the estate, Franzi and Tommi had a lovingly decorated wedding arch set up, which was perfect for the natural ambiance. The ceremony was full of laughter, tears and moving words — a mix of emotions that I was able to capture in pictures. It was one of those moments when everything felt right: nature, light, people and above all the love between Franzi and Tommi.After the wedding ceremony, the estate was transformed into a cheerful garden party. The two had a large teepee tent set up, which was decorated with fairy lights, wildflowers and boho elements. The attention to detail was noticeable everywhere, and it was a pleasure to capture all the small and big moments: guests enjoying coffee and cake, children playing on the lawn, and Franzi and Tommi who were simply happy. I particularly liked the atmosphere that the tent offered in the evening when the lights came on and created an incredibly cozy atmosphere. The party lasted until late at night, with music, dancing and a lively atmosphere.
As a wedding photographer, it was a celebration for me to document these vivid and emotional moments. The combination of natural beauty, lovely details and the cheerful energy of Franzi and Tommi made this day an absolute highlight for me. A wedding like this shows how wonderfully personal and relaxed a celebration can be when designed with heart and passion. It was an honor for me to be part of this special day and to capture all the precious moments for the two of them.
